Tim Robins, alongside his wife Phaedra, their three daughters, and their enthusiastic Border Terrier, Cassie, are proud to bring New Zealand’s iconic portable cabin hire brand to the West Coast.

MIZIN West Coast is based in Greymouth and delivers portable cabins across the West Coast from Karamea in north, to Fox Glacier & Franz Glacier in the South, and of course Hokitika and Westport.

The Robins family has called the Coast home since 2010. Over the years, they’ve built deep roots in the community and a genuine love for everything this beautiful region has to offer — especially the great outdoors. Now, they’re excited to offer locals a flexible, affordable way to create more space, right where it’s needed most.

When Tim’s not out delivering cabins or helping customers find the perfect fit, you’ll likely find him soaking up the fresh air somewhere off the beaten track. A true lover of the outdoors, he spends his downtime running local trails, mountain biking, fishing — really, anything that lets him enjoy the natural playground he and his family are lucky enough to call home.

Before joining MIZIN, Tim spent 15 years working in emergency services in Greymouth. It was a demanding career, but one that gave him a deep appreciation for the resilience, spirit, and kindness of the West Coast community. It also strengthened his belief in the importance of connection — both with people and with place.

Stepping into portable cabin hire with MIZIN felt like the natural next step. It’s given Tim a chance to stay connected to the Coast, build something local and lasting, and spend more time with his family — all while helping others create extra space in their own lives.
